Application: Restaurants & Hospitality

Acoustic Panels for Restaurants & Hospitality

Quieten dining rooms, cafés, bars and hotel lobbies without losing the architectural look. EchoPanel® and acoustic tiles fire rated to Group 1, with full Sound Absorption Class data and Australia-wide delivery.

Restaurants and bars are the worst-case for acoustics: hard floors, exposed ceilings, glass façades and a room full of people talking over the same noise floor. Decorative acoustic panels are how leading hospitality designers tune the space without compromising the look. We supply the full EchoPanel® range direct to hospitality fit-outs across Australia, with documented fire rating, Climate Active Carbon Neutral certification and 37 colourways across the 12mm range.

Why this matters

Why hospitality venues need acoustic treatment

Diners staying for a second drink, conversations that don't have to be shouted, staff who can hear an order without leaning in: every measurable hospitality outcome improves when the room is acoustically tuned. Reviews routinely flag noisy venues as a reason not to return, even when the food and service are good. Decorative acoustic panels absorb the reflective build-up that turns a busy dining room into a wall of noise, without the cost or look of a full ceiling-acoustic-tile retrofit.

Recommended ranges

Recommended ranges for restaurants, cafés and bars

EchoPanel® 12mm flat panels work as feature walls and ceiling panels in dining rooms. The embossed 9mm and 3D formed 12mm ranges suit hospitality designers who want the panel to read as architectural texture, not as a separately specified acoustic product. Ascent Tile in 25mm delivers the highest absorption for the loudest spaces (αw 0.60 direct fix, αw 0.90 with infill). Fire ratings vary by product: EchoPanel® 12mm and EchoPanel® 24mm are certified AS 5637.1 Group 1, the 9mm embossed range carries a Group 1 classification, and Ascent Tile is AS 5637.1 Group 3. Confirm the Group Number required for your jurisdiction and BCA classification before specifying.

Specification guidance

Specification guidance for hospitality

Treat the ceiling first if it's exposed or hard. Even partial ceiling treatment lowers room reverberation more efficiently than wall panels because the ceiling is usually the largest uninterrupted surface. Side walls and feature walls are next, with EchoPanel® direct fix or with a 20mm air gap for higher absorption. Confirm fire compliance for your jurisdiction: EchoPanel® 12mm and 24mm are AS 5637.1 Group 1, suitable for most BCA Class 6 hospitality applications, while Ascent Tile is AS 5637.1 Group 3. Panels must be kept dry — humidity should be avoided during storage and installation.
